Delay in issue of passport from bangalore office

Hi,

This is Revathi.

I had applied for passport its already more than one month finished.

In the http://rpobangalore.gov.in the status of the passport shows as Ploice verification not yet received. This information is display from past two weeks.there is no updated information in the web.

Can anyone tell me what is the reason for the delay in issuing the passport. According to the site its mentioned that for normal passport it takes 30 to 40 days but its already more than 30 days.

I have enquired with police autorities whether they have sent the police verification letter to bangalore office. They have sent it.

I'm in very much in need of the passport.
