Passport not received since last 3 months

Hello!

I filed a Passport application, in the Regional Passport Office in New Delhi, on my son's name (ANUJEET CHATTERJEE) vide File Reference Number: DLH-M004178-09 on 27-02.

It has been almost 3 months now and the status remains on the site as "Police Report is clear. Application is under process."

I wonder how much more time will be required to process the application.

On inquiry, I was given to be told that there is a strike in the Passport office in Delhi and hence papers are not being processed. Why should the common public bear the brunt of such silly acts of some handful employees?

Will someone please look into the matter and have the process of issuing the valid Passports moving? I am sure many people are having their applications stuck up just like this.
