Personal loan EMI cheating
i am a salaried employee and not a businessman. i earn peanuts in an organisation that boasts of being a top gaming MNC.
i applied for a loan in april and the documents were collected from me in 2nd week of may. the loan got approved and my first EMI is due. If you are reading this, then you might think whats wrong in this!! right? But everything is wrong.
read ahead:
the loan agent took my signatures in the documents and said that i will have to pay an EMI of around 4700 for a loan amount of Rs.1, 50, 000. 2 weeks later without prior information when i heard about EMI, it was 5575 from Mr. Satish (working with HDFC hitech city branch in hyderabad) Instead of 7 cheques, he took 18 cheques from me with my blank signature on it. saying that the credit department needs half the amount of cheques (e.g. 18 cheques for the loan period of 36 months). He said they will write Rs.5575 and they will return the xerox copies but havent returned till now.
yesterday i got the sms that i have to pay Rs.9714 as my first EMI which is absolutely ridiculous. And now they are asking for paying Rs.9714 as EMI for 18 months for repaying 150000 which is wrong. the actualy loan tenure was 36 months. Its the complete irresponsibility of the bank officials because of which i am facing this disheartening condition.
Is this justice? am i responsible for paying Rs.9714 now which they wrote without my prior information? they are already saying that if i dont pay the first full EMI as mentioned then i will be defaulter. thats absolutely bullshit. now i am asking them to cheque this issue and correct with the credit department in mumbai. But they are not listening and are saying that the processing has already been done and they cant do anything now.
Can anyone help me? Can a consumer court help me in this regards?
