Amount struck in ATM machine - Complaint No. - 18991419

I am an account holder of Savings a/c no.4166000100064550 at PNB Prashant Vihar (Delhi) branch for the past 6-7 years.

On August 14 i used my Debit card for withdrawal of money or Rs. 8, 000/- from Axis bank ATM (Sector 8, Rohini, Delhi)

However the amount got struck in the machine and the a/c was debited with the same amount.

I informed about the same by calling the toll free on of PNB. the customer care executive said that the same will get reverse back in 2 working days and did not log the complaint.

I again called up the customer care after 5 working days on August 22 where they said that it will take 12 working days and lodged the complaint vide complaint No. 18991419.

I also informed about the same to the branch, however no satisfactory answer was received even from the branch manager and he asked me to go to ATM cell. Why a customer of PNB should approach the ATM cell as my account is in Prashant vihar branch.

Even after 15 working days the amount has not got reversed back.

Please note that according to RBI guidelines if the amount struck in ATM is not reversed within 12 working days, the Bank is liable to pay interest @ 2.5% per day on that amount.

Request you to look into the matter on priority basis or i will be left with only option of taking legal action against the Bank.
