I had purchased a Maruti 800, through Popular vehicles and services, Chennai. It is unfortunate that myself having served the automobile industry for nearly 20 years, I had paid the price for buying a Maruti800. Let me come to the point straight.
I had complained the Saligramam branch of Popular automobiles to One Mr. Senthil, the Workshop Manager and the Service Manager Mr. Balaji for nearly 19 times, since I had purchased the vehicle, for A/C foul smell entering inside through vent, when A/C on, especially when I drive through any garbage area, smoky area or any stinky area. All the 19 times when the vehicle rolled out there was an assurance that the problem is fixed and in the process they have spoilt my complete dashboard. The problem still persists. I even tried to reach Mr. John K Paul the Managing director of Popular, but nobody was willing to share his contact number or atrleast email address.
When approached the same garrage for the 20th time probably they were tired and trying to get rid of me, they routed me to MSM Guindy and again the same story. Now that the vehicle has been with MSM Guindy eighth time for the same complaint, they are trying to distance themselves from me since they too want to get rid of me.
Though the vehicle is still under warranty, I was still willing to pay for the spares and repairs since i had a major problem in hand that is my son who is suffering from a major life threatening disease and his life time is short. And whenever he travels in this unfortunate car, he gets choked and spews... since the foul smoke enters the cab.
Terribly upset, I had recently taken the vehicle to Maruti ABT Saligramam Branch, and contacted one Mr. Parthasarathy, Senior Manager Service, and explained the whole episode. probably and obviously, listening to my narration he too wanted to get rid of me. On the day I checked in and told him my plight he asked for some time and now it more than 2 weeks and he is yet to call me to fix the problem.
Having narrated my problem, Is there any Maruti service station in India who could fix my problem though Warranty still exists I am willing to pay for my son's sake.
My email address is [email protected].
Venkatesh
An upset owner of Maruti 800.
