Hi,
I have applied for a new broadband connection on 06.02.09. The sales agent Mr. Jayaprakash (FSO code BSHR58260, Contact No. 91 9972991719, 91 80 41230809, 91 80 4123 0860) collected 500 RS and promised me that i will get the connection on the very next day. Also i got the receipt with ref no. BA 0191985.
But till last Saturday nobody contacted me regarding this. When i made a call to the agent, he promised me that he will send somebody for the installation on the same day. But nobody came. On monday again i called him. He said that he has send somebody to my appartment for installation. I rushed from office to home and waited till 9 PM. Whenever i called him he kept saying that they will reach in 20 min.
Today morning he promised that at any cost the installation wil happen today itself. I took a leave and sat at my home expecting them. Now the time is 10.45 PM. I would have made 10 calls to him today itself. Each time he said that the installation guys are here itself in the area and doing the cable work.By 10.00 PM he called and told that they will come in another 30. I denied them coming at the late hours and asked for the refund since i have wasted my time. He plainly told that he will come tomorrow and will give the money back.
I have couple of questions to the Airtel management.
1.Dont you teach something about customer centricity to your agents. Dont ur agents have any shame in telling repeated lies to the customers?
2.Do you people value the time of your customers?
3.Do u think that it is worth making beautiful advertisement without giving the proper service?
4.Are u giving any special training to your agents to be customer centric only till the time they get the money in their hand?
I dont really know wat will happen to this complaint. But as customer i will have many other options other than Airtel. Like many other unsatisfied customers i may tend to choose one among them. I still have a broadband connection in my name in chennai which i still havent terminated even though i got transfered to Bangalore. I am very sad to tell that, for getting that connection also i had go through a painful process like this. But this time i will make sure that none of my collegues, friends or relatives will think about Airtel again.
