Airtel company not disconnecting the numbe

I submitted an application to disconnect my airtel number.they accepted it and after a few days they started calling me that they wont disconnect the number and they started speaking rudely.its been three months now they have not disconnected the number.they are giving me a very hard time as they are just generating high amount of bills unneccesarilly. what should i do.?
