Sir,

I am Vineet Gupta, using Airtel Broadband connection (Number: 0120 - 4204614) since Oct. My Line was dead from 11th April to 13th April due to underground cable fault in the Sector 27 Noida, I registered the complaint and the line was repaired on 14th morning. As per Hon'ble TRAI guidelines if a line is dead for 3 consecutive days the customer will get the 5 days rental discount in the next bill, I asked to customer care of Airtel about the rental discount of 5 days, they assured me for the 5 days rental discount in the next bill (23rd April -22nd May). I didn’t receive the rental discount in the next bill i.e. in May month bill, I called to customer care of Airtel they told me that due to some system issue we were not able to give you the discount in this month bill and will definitely give you the discount in next month bill i.e. in June month bill (23rd May – 22nd June), the same happened again and I again called to customer care of Airtel they gave me the same excuse of system error and assured me to give the discount in the next bill i.e. July month (23rd June – 22nd July), I didn’t receive the discount this month also, and I again called the customer care and they gave me the same excuse of system error and assured me the discount in next month bill i.e. August month bill (23rd Jul – 22nd Aug).

Sir, if the line is dead for 3 consecutive days, the telecom service provider automatically give 5 days rental discount to the customer rather than the customer asks for the same, but they didn’t do that and Airtel didn’t provide the rental discount to hundreds of customers whose line were dead due to underground cable fault during that period (11th - 13th April). And if a customer is asking for his right i.e. for rental discount this telecom service provider is escalating the issue so that at one point of time customer will get frustrated and will not ask for the discount.

Sir I am totally frustrated by this telecom service provider fake excuses, and request you to please look into this matter.
