Fraudulent Company Activity

Bought $50 worth of minutes on Sept 7th through my credit card (debited the same day) and received a welcome mail with account ID and pasword.

-Received a "Welcome Call" from the executive also seeking feedback on services the following day. Feedback included asking details of who i was, my registered #, my address, how i opened the a/c, my credit card details including credit card #, etc.

-I gave all information patiently except for my credit card # since (a) I didn't have it with me, (b) I didn't see how they were protecting my interest by asking me these details all over again over the phone.

-The caller thanked me for the information and hung up.

-I tried calling India the following day only to hear "i'm sorry your a/c has been blocked, please call customer service.

-Called customer service around sept 11 who said my a/c had been blocked since I did not give my credit card details and this was for my security???!!! so they had blocked my a/c. The only was to unblock the a/c was to email my credit card details to another deptt.

- I refused to email any details and agreed to give the card details over phone so they would enable my a/c. If that could not be done, I requested that the a/c be closed and $50 refunded to me immediately.

-The customer service rep. communicated a timeline of 7 days to refund the money which upset me quite a bit so I asked to speak with the supervisor. To which I was told that the supervisor would call me back within 24 hours since this case had to be referred to Delhi and the call centre was in Chandigarh. Also that he was forwarding a request to close the a/c and refund the sum.

-Till date I have received NO CALL from a supervisor or even another rep.

-Instead, on Sept. 16th I get an email stating my complaint # and "We would like to inform the unblocking of your account is under consideration and you will receive a confirmation call and email within 72 hours."

- Needless to mention NO EMAIL / CALL till today!

- I called them today and spoke to some rep who insisted (a) The complaint # belonged to May'08 and that I had refused to cooperate with some person who called me on Oct 1 (b) On double checking against my a/c #, that I made no request to close the a/c in Spect 08' (c) If i wanted the refund it would take another 7 days!!!

- I refused to wait another 7 days, asked them why the matter was still unsolved, why they were sitting on the money unoess they planned to compensate by paying interest on the $50 they were sitting on.

- I asked to speak with the supervisor and some SHIV fellow came on the line asking me to repeat my grievances. This was after I requested that he be updated by the rep I'd been speaking to.

-I refused to repeat and asked him to check with the guy and summarise what he understood of my problem. The only thing he could tell me was - You want an interest on your $50???!!!

- I lost my temper, asked to speak with a manager who he said was not "AUTHORISED TO TAKE CALLS"!!!???

-And as I was screaming in the phone, I heard him put it the receiver on the side, tell somebody (in Hindi) - she's blabberring unnecessarily and continuously - following which he picks the phone, tells me - you will get a refund - and hangs up!

SO MUCH FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WANTING TO MAKE CHEAPER CALLS TO INDIA!!!

and there is absolutely no complaint resolution cell or senior contact people published anywhere where one could raise a complaint to in Bharti Airtel.

3rd rate service run on the whims and fancies of some idiotic juvenile delinquents in Chandigarh!!!
