Dish tv not working since one month we want refund and disconnection

i was out of city for few days in august when i returened home on 18th august

my dish tv connection was not working

when i called the centre they refused to take the complaint under the pretext that my a/c has low balance

i was shocked as i had recharged my a/c with 1500 on aug 1

i asked him to tell me a/c balance but he refused that it is compnay policy

we cannot giv u a/c balance

i was surprised he was talking to me after confirming my identity atleast 3 times

even after insisting he refused to give

he further asked to recharge the a/c with 100 if i want to book the complaint

i was shocked

when i installed the dishtv at that time ur company gave me 15 days to recharge the a/c for cable charges

and now when i am ur old customer, i am not trusted

this shows the gimmick played by ur company for poaching new customers

to rope in new customers rules are broken

but old customer who has already recharged the a/c for full year u don't trust

so i had no alternate but to go around for 100 recharge coupon

believe me i almost roam half the thane city and also at bhiwandi

but could not find the recharge coupon for 100

ultimately i found it on 28th aug and booked the complaint

the 1st complaint no given to me was 979823

and he told me that the engineer (er) will come tom morning

i waited but no one came from airtel so i gaain called call centre

again i was promised that complaint has been forwarded and i can expect er any moment

and in the mean time i got sms on my regd mob from no. 247 that my complaint has been resolved

and if i have further queries i can call on toll free no

i was shocked no one has come and i had just talked on tollfree no

so i again call tollfree no

again they promised that er will come before 6 pm at any cost

but no one came so i again called in night

again i was given promise that some one would 100% come in morning to resolve my issue

but no one came at 9 am on 30th aug

so i again called tollfree no

this time i was given new compalint no 986532 dt 30/08/09

i insited for same old complaint no to continue

but in vain they did not listen and issued me new no 986532

and again promised that er will come today at any cost

but no one came from airtel

in the meantime i got a call from er on 31s t aug that if i am at home he would come

i had given specific reuqest that we r available only before 10 am and after 7.30 pm

but still the er called and insisted to come at 2 pm

i expalined him that i was waiting for him since friday and i sat at home for 3 full days waiting for him

he very carelessly told that being ganpati festival he was on leave

i asked him if he was the only er with airtel

and also asked hiim that if u r on leave does such a big orgn comes to stand still

bbut it was of no use talking to him

that evening i rushed home from office early so that dish tv can be started

when i reached home i called him and requested him to attend my complaint

but he very rudely said that his duty hours are only form 11 to 6 pm

he will come only between 11 am to 6 pm

i requested him explained him the whole situation

that i had waited for 3 full days but he did not come

i cannot leave my ofice and come home early

but he was adamant and he told he can't come

and he said i can if i want to complain aganst him

he is not afraid

so next morning on 1st sep i again called customer service

today it was 5th day after actual complaint

and14th day sine my dish tv is not working

again i told them full incident

but of no use

so this time i asked them to disconnect my Dishtv

if they can't send er for so many days

and again they gave me new complaint no 994517 instead of resolving my original complaint

no.979823 dt 28/9/09

on 2nd sep i recd sms that my disconnection complaint has been resolved

i fail to understand that how it is resolved unilaterally

in the meantime someone from delhi office called and enquired about our complaint

we told we r fed up and we onot want to continue

he said ok we will get the refund of our a/c within 2 days

we waited for 2 days but no one came

so we again called and again this time they issued one more complaint no 1008989 dt 4/9/09

again we waited and waited but there was no response from ur side

again on 6th sep we recd sms that ur complaint no. 1008989 has been resolved

i fail to understand that how it is resolved unilaterally once again

again no one responded from ur co

we waited for few days that we will get back the money

so again we called and this time

one MR. Kiran patagane (Supervisor)

he also promised to look into the matter and revert back

there after one mr. nitin wagh called from mumbai that he is coming to my home to collect STB and Dish

as i no longer want to continue and i had no balance in my a/c

i told him that i have recharged my a/c with rs 1600

he was shocked, he said he was told we have no bal and we donot want to continue

he again promised that he will understand my problem and revert

but today is 15 sep

no one has called us

nor our complaint dated 26th aug has been resolved

it is almost a month out dish tv is not working

i want to ask

is this the way of working of airtel

when we took the new connection we were given 8-10 days to pay for cable chgs

now after we are old client

where our a/c is already recharged with 1500

we have opted for annual plan

ur company is not ready to take complaint

we r asked to recharge for rs 100 if we want to reg a complaint

again ur recharge vouchers are not available readily

it took us 4 days to find them

after lodging complaint the complaint is not attended for 4 days

but every time we are given false promises and time slot that er

will come to ur home

we stayed back at home for 3 days but ur er didnot come

on monday when we joined office he called

and explained that he was on leave as there was ganpati festival

then why call centre people gave wrong info and we were asked to stay back at home

we requested er that we bothare working guys can he come before 10 am or after 7 pm

but he refused and said that his working time is 11to 6

we can put leave for 3 days, but ur er is not ready to come early by one hour

even when our complaint is pending for 5 days

and he challenged us to talk to call centre and do whatever we can

u only reply is it the way u treat customer

we preferred airtel b'coz of it's name, brand, goodwill and referral

but we now regret our decision

please do the needful and

kindly refund us our money
