I am customer of Airtel Service for the past 8 years.
I hold two post paid accounts. I went to Australia in
but to retain the number I continued paying the
bills propmptly. Airtel Customer Service (Hyderabad
Branch) suggessted me to change the account to Pre paid
as per the new policy (new policy says that if the
post paid number is not in use for 6 months it will be
de activated). As per their suggession, I did the same.
When I came back to India and requested them to change
my account to post paid again, they have informed me that
it is not possible now and I need to open new account and
then can provide me the same number. I have completed all
the formalities and paid an advance of Rs 500. They have
informed that the account will be activated in 48 hrs.
Its been more than 8 days my account is not activated and
no proper response from the Airtel Customer Service.
The customer service team have raised a complaint 16734387 to
the technical team handling such request. For the first few days,
they have told me that the server is down and service cannot be
activated. But its been more than a week and now the customer
service team started saying that they dont have any updates
from the technical team about the account activation status.
Every day I need to call them and remind them. There is
no pro active response and pathetic service from the Airtel.
No body knows what is happening and they in turn ask me questions
about the status of the activation.
As a old customer, I am very disappointed by the way they are providing
me the service.
Please see that some legal action should be taken so that in future other
customers should not be in trouble with this kind of service.
