SIM Card Registration Failed

Hi, my name is Alok Bharat Dand. I stay in Mumbai. Recently on 16-Jan, I opted for an Airtel Postpaid Connection for my cell phone. I provided all the required documents to the Airtel executive and he also provided me the new SIM Card. He also told me that the SIM Card would be activated by next day. Since today i.e. 19-Jan, I am trying this SIM Card and its not working. Its still giving me SIM Card Registration Failed message. To get to customer support centre to Airtel, I had to waste more than 20-30 mins. It was hard to reach them. There was no reply from them to my emails. I had wrote to them on [email protected]. Moreover the support centre guy with whom I spoke, was very stubborn with his answer as to that the card is activated. I then contacted the guy which gave me the card and every time he also told the same that the card is activated. I have been told by him that he will look into this and if possible replace the card. In case if I still don't get the card replaced, can anyone suggest me what should be my next step? I don't get time to go to Airtel Relationship Centres.
