I am writing this complaint on behalf of my father Libert Lewis whose AIRTEL Prepaid No. is 9004830293.
Nearly 2 months back he had recharged his new SIM with approx with Rs.200 worth talktime. Following which he had gone abroad with the SIM.
However due to certain compulsions he had to keep the cellphone off. During this period Airtel has illegally activated several postpaid value added services, without any consent and subsequently gone on charging for the same which deducted nearly Rs.120 from the balance on the SIM Card. This came to his notice when he switched on the cellphone (SIM Card) on arrival in India.
On calling the customer service on 121, the supervisor agreed to discontinue all value added services activated and refund the entire sum by the 21st of September which has not happened at all.
Later on contacting them, a different Airtel totally declined to entertain my complaint, blaiming my father itself for using those services and declined to explain any further very rudely.
In the past I have had a similar experience where AIRTEL readily accepted their mistake.
This incident has resulted in loss of nearly Rs. 120/- and has resulted in a lot of frustation and mental anxiety and we have been subjected to pathetic customer service.
We want immediate refund of all Rs.120 and immediate suspension of all value added service.
