I obtained a pre paid connection on the 12 th of May at a retail outlet near my residence at Coimbatore submitting all relevant documents as required by the law. the same was activated the next day the 13th of May. My number was active for 44 days upto june 24th. then there was a message asking me to submitt my proof of identity, I keep touring and when not in the state I reached a airtel outlet in Bangalore and asked them regarding this. they said that they cannot do anything and they wanted me to submitt the same only in Tamilnadu. I completed my tour and returned to find my mobile totally dead and the display reading unregistered sim. When approached none could give me a proper reply here at coimbatore and was abriptly said nothing could done. their customer went on to say that their staff who had been to our residence could not get proper reply, which is foolish as many including me who have aairtel prepaid have never been verified. I have mentioned in my application itself about my postpaid Airtel number. After my complaint to the nodal officer I recd a reply asking me to visit their local office at Coimbatore, where again I was taken for a ride. after my second complaint about the lethargic approach of their staff, I was asked to come to their office to collect the new sim, which I promptly heeded to the next day the 2nd of Aug. I was handed over a new sim and was told that the same will activated on monday that is today. It is 18:30 hrs and yet it has not been activated. Can anything be done on this.
