The management of our residential society has been illegally taken over by a group of people who have vested interest in grabbing the society land. The basic maintenance of the society has been ignored inspite of all the members paying their dues on time. The members have registered several complaints to the society management and authorities (deputy registrar and divisional joint registrar of societies etc.). Unfortunately, these authorities have been heavily bribed and no action is taken against them. The local police also has been pocketed by this group. The newly formed illegal society managing committee comprises of 5 people all of whom work for one individual (a wealthy businessman) who is a member of our society but does not live here. In a 5 years span, this man managed to buy 10 flats in our society cheaply and he is now forcibly trying to grab the other flats by harsassing the remaining members most of whom are senior citizens. He plans to make huge profits from our society land by selling it or redveloping for commercial purpose as it is a prime location for business. The members have filed a case in cooperative court but for 2 years the case has not come to court as they have been heavily bribed as well. Need some advise on how we can get back the control of the society from these criminals and live in peace.
