Account frozen in error by the bank and fined customer for Unfreezing

I hold a savings account with Andhra Bank (Ashok nagar Branch). I used to use it as a Salary account for encashing my pay cheques from previous organization i worked with. And eventualy i had a salary account opened with HDFC Bank and i have stopped using the savings account with Andhra bank. However, have left some deposit in the account to keep the account alive. Lately, i had to withdraw money from my Andhra bank account and ATM (debit card) dint work, approached bank and also got a new debit but still was facing same issue. Later found that my account in Andhra Bank was frozen and that was why i could not withdraw any money. Although there was no specific reason as to why account got frozen. After having a detailed discussion with the Sub manager have come to know that – it was due to overdraft that it happen. I dont even remember Andhra bank giving an over draft facility for a savings account and i never requested for it. There by Andhra bank has deducted Rs 1000/- for rendering a service i never requested (over draft facility supposingly provided by the bank) and also for a fact that i never used the ATM debit card more than a year and i had to look for the PIN code for using it the last time (so that means there hasn't been any activity on the account). I wanted to bring this issue to your notice and want this to be addressed
