A new gas Conection
Unethical selling practices

Dear Madam/Sir,

Would like to submit a complaint regarding unethical selling pracctices followed by two of the leading gas dealers in Bhandup (W) Mumbai.

Two Gas dealers of Bharat Gas & Hindustan Petrolium are providing immediate gas connections to the customers who are ready to buy a new gas stove from the dealers. The conection in this case costs around five thousand Rs. I don't need a new stove, I already have one.

Where as if the customer refuses to purchase the stove, dealers say that there is a waiting for seven days, during which the so called technician from the dealer will come & inspect the existing gas stove at the premises. Which gets rejected due to bad quality.

Hindustan Petrolium dealer goes one step ahead and says that it is a company policy to purchase a stove at the time of new connection. Several conections have been sold with a back date on above condition during the period when Government had imposed a ban on giving out new conections.

If purchasing a stove with new conection is mandatory please treat this as a complain against Hindustan Petrolium else the above complain stands against the two dealers.
