This company was a NIGHTMARE. We booked them a month in advance. We were told they would arrive on the move date at 10 am. They called twice to confirm 10 AM. At 8:30 am they were at our door. I was still in my nightgown, my husband was just waking up, we had to get a 5 year old off to school and had a baby crawling around the apartment. We still had stuff in our dresser drawers, items on top of furniture that needed to be moved. We wanted to dismantle some of the furniture ourselves to try and save a little bit of money. We just bought a new house and were on a budget. My husband kindly asked them to come back at the time they were supposed to have arrived-- 10:00. We were not ready to "go on the clock"-- as they charge by the hour. He said "can you guys go get coffee or something and come back? " We truly needed that extra hour and a half to get things ready. The guys said YES and then NEVER CAME BACK. 11:30am we finally get the guy on his cell phone and he lies and tells us their truck is broken down on Route 80. He tells us to call someone named Juan. My husband calls "Juan" who can barely speak english and just keeps saying, "very big move, very big move." We assumed he meant he was on a big moving job? I don't know... then my husband is continually calling A Professional Movers and keeps getting put on hold and told they are going to resolve it.By around 3pm, we finally get a supervisor on the phone -- a really nasty lady who insists we "sent the movers away." We didn't mean PERMANENTLY! The driver told his boss we didn't want them to do the move. Meanwhile the driver told US his truck broke down. Our furniture was all disassembled and lined up in the hallway of our building. My 5 year old son had no bed to sleep in that night. We then get another supervisor on the phone-- a real nasty man who basically says no one is coming. Ok, fine you couldn't have told us that 8 HOURS AGO? We found a mover at the last minute who came the next day and moved us, very good, very professional, no hidden fees-- ZAB'S MOVERS. I would never recommend A Professional Movers.
