I am originally from Hooghly Dist, Westbengal. In order to bring my parents in Saudi Arabia (to perform Umrah/Hajj), I have applied for their passport in December and police verification done in June- July. During my last visit in August I have visited to our zonal office in Chinsura and they confirmed that police clearance and others all are ok and they are going to send it by September and assure me within 1 month or two we will get the passport. Then frequently I have check the status of their passport and in November I got the status below:
File Reference Number: CAL-A110790-10 Application Date : 27-12
Applicant's Name: HOSENA BEGAM Applicant's Date of Birth : 01-01-1940
STATUS :
Police Report has not been received.
File Reference Number: CAL-A111402-10 Application Date : 28-12
Applicant's Name: ALI HOSEN SEKH Applicant's Date of Birth : 01-01-1931
STATUS :
It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of
Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time
Then in December I got the status:
File Reference Number: CAL-A110790-10 Application Date : 27-12
Applicant's Name: HOSENA BEGAM Applicant's Date of Birth : 01-01-1940
STATUS :
Police Report is clear and the passport is expected to be despatched
by 22-12. Subject to all documents being in order.
File Reference Number: CAL-A111402-10 Application Date : 28-12
Applicant's Name: ALI HOSEN SEKH Applicant's Date of Birth : 01-01-1931
STATUS :
It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of
Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time
Now, from January no status is shown!!
In this regards I have send so many mail to Grievance
or [email protected] but I couldn't get any response from them.
The only mail I get from [email protected] is like this:

We request your parents to contact the Regional Passport Office (RPO),
Kolkata as the applications were submitted in the old system. You may
also contact RPO, Kolkata through phone and its contact number is:
033-22341212. Email ID is: [email protected] This is to further
inform you that applicant or his/her representative may also visit the
RPO to know the status of the file. The person representing the
applicant should carry an authorization letter (On paper or FAX or
Email) from the applicant. For any other assistance regarding
processing of the application, applicant himself/ herself has to visit
the RPO.
Hope we have been able to address your concern with satisfaction.

But as my parents are old and live in village it is not possible to come for enquiry. I am trying several times to contact the above number but no one respond or no reply in my mail from rpo kolkata!! I am really fed-up and upset and could not find out what to do. Is it possible to apply passport again as Tatkal? Please do the needful or suggest me how can I get their passport in order to bring them here.
