Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing on behalf of my father Mr Shakarappa Basappa Jane residing at Teen Dukan Galli, Bhalki, Dist Bidar. My family who is staying in our ancestor’s home in Bhalki is under constant threat by our neighbor, Mr. Udyappa Gunge. Mr. Uadayappa Gunge is a goon and enjoys support from local BJP leaders.
The problem started with the small piece of land adjacent to our home (within our boundary wall) is illegally occupied by Mr Udayappa Gunge when my father was away for a job. he use to digg the place for natural fertilizer, Our ancestor’s house already once collapsed because of his digging acitivity. And this was the job of Municipal Council to clean the place which is damaging our house seriously.
Since Mr Gunge was in gambling business; he got excellent rapport with local politician, Police and other municipal authorities. Being middle class people, my parents have initially requested, pledged and finally taken him to the court to solve the matter. Mr Gunge has threatened my parents as well as people living in that area, thus preventing them to go to court against him as a witness or any other purpose. He detained our neighbor’s grandsons illegally and forced them to give false statement in the court. Making the matter worst, the local police have refused to interfere or report a FIR to against these threats. Finally we withdraw the case from court because of his local contacts.
In summary, people are living under threat and constantly being harassed by him (and his men). In addition, he is grabbing the land belong to municipality (for road) to construct his private toilet. This construction is illegal and will create serious health problems for entire community because he has provided outlet on the road and in front of our main door.
