We the residents of Bunder Pakhadi Road in Kandivli (W), Mumbai, Maharshtra, is facing a lot of hardship and security concerns due to absence of street light along Bunder Pakhadi Road, starting from Ganesh Chowk to Rock Enclave.
This road is 90feet wide and an important road connecting Kandivli (W) to Malad (W). It is used by the residents, a huge number of motorist and Best bus number 246 ply on this route. In the night it is very difficult to travel on this road and a number of accidents take’s place regularly. This is also an added advantage for miscreants to carry out their illegal activities. In the recent past, taking advantage of the situation a number of illegal Auto rickshaw and Car repairing garages has come up. This has made life more difficult for the residents.
Even after submitting an application bearing signature of 1000 families to Mr Subodh Kumar the Municpal Commissioner of Mumbai no action has been taken. We as dutiful residents pay steep property taxes and this is what we are getting in return. Being the richest Municipal Corporation of the country it has failed to even commission street lights in the area. This negligence and apathy is intolerable and unacceptable. Any day a major crime like rape or murder is waiting to happen, is BMC waiting for that day?
