Passport delay

Dear Sir,

I (Charulata Shailesh Patil) applied my passport (Application number PNE-P031601-10) in Pune passport office on 12-08, I completed my police enquiry at both locations i.e. Pune and Kolhapur because I have applied my passport with my new name after marriage.

My husband's address is in Pune and my native is Kolhapur.

I had received status "Police report is clear and your passport is expected to be dispatched by 12-10, subject to all documents are clear"

Now status got changed to "Your application is in process" since 10-10 and till date 25-10 (Today) I have not seen any progress.

Kindly let me know what is causing delay in my passport as I have to join my husband urgently in US as his visa is about to expire soon?

Tried to inquire in police status but all in vain.

Please help.
