SUB -Contaminated Water Supply in

We, the Residents, of Shanti Vihar, Karkardooma area draw your kind attention that the Delhi Jai Board/East Zone has been supplying contaminated and filthy water through public taps in this locality for the last six months. It is worth mentioning that the water is contaminated with sewage water containing yellowish color with foul smell and suspended dirty particles. Thus, the water supply of this locality is considered not fit for drinking the water by the Residents which is in contravention to safety guidelines of drinking water as formulated by Quality Council of India {QCL}
Moreover, it is fundamental right to access the drinking water for life and health of public by Civic Authorities. As a result of this, a great tension have been prevailed amongst the Residents due to danger to out break of water borne diseases and skin disorders like diarrhea, dysentery, gastrotrich & skin allergy.
The matter has been moved to the notice of Delhi Jal Board by the Residents from time to time but no any fruitful action seems to be taken by the concerned authorities.
We, the Residents, humbly, request your good self to look into this issue on ‘Top Priority Basis’ and remedial steps be taken to provide drinkable water urgently to the Residents.
