Election Commission
Wrong notice sent for deletion of name in electoral rolls

On 28/12 I saw a notice sent by the electoral registration officer, malakpet constituency 58MalakpetD.M.C.04, that I have to attend the above said office on 22/12 at 4 pm, stating that I am not residing at 16-2-738/B/A and my name will be deleted. The letter is stamped by malakpet post office on 23/12. It shows the callousness of the staff attending to the electoral rolls and the way to delete the names of the voters very negligently. I am an Advocate practising in the High Court of A.P., for the last 20 years and I am resident of the same place from October. I have telephone connection of 24066015 and I have been receiving the bill also on the same address. Under these circumstances, can it be said that I am not residing here for the last 6 months. I demand my name THOTA SREENIVASARAYALU at S.nO.923, part No.126 of Malakpet consituency shall be continued and severe action shall be initiated against the negligent officer who issued such notice under Rule 21A of Registration of Electoral Rules, 1961.
