It is with great expectation for redress of our grievance as enumerated hereunder that we write this. The citizens, tax-payers with valid PAN Card Holders, International Passport Holders, named below have been deleted from the Electoral List of Behala Purba Assembly Constituency No-153 since the year 2006. We exercised our franchise last in the last Assembly lection in2006.
The apparent reason for deletion our names, as we understand, is only due to change of holding no. in our address in same road, same KMC ward, same post office, same police station and nevertheless same assembly constituency!
In 2009 Lok Sabha Election when we found our names missing from the Electoral List as mentioned above, we submitted applications in Form-6 for inclusion of our names. The Forms-6 (3Forms) with all enclosures such as attested copies of International Passports, PAN cards, Ration Cards, Address Proofs in original, colored photography were submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer at Treasury Building, Bhawani Bhawan, Alipore under acknowledgement from Shri A.Islam on 24.04.2009.
A couple of weeks thereafter I was assured by one Mr. A.B.Adhikari from the same office that our names have been included in the Electoral List of the same constituency.
But in reality our names have not yet been included for reasons unknown to us.
