I applied for after-marriage-surname change at hyderabad passport office on 02-Mar. (File # R001912) Police enquiry was done and verfication report was sent to the passport office on 30-Mar. (Dispatch Reference # 181/IP/VC/SB/CYB)
In the first week of April, the online status was changes to "Police Verification is clear and the passport will be despatched by 29-Apr". Again, on 29-Apr, it was changed to "It is regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of passport has been delayed and will be despatched in a week's time". Even on enquiring at the passport office, I received the same message, that everything is ready and my passport will be despatched in a week's time. But till now, nothing happened, and the online status was never changed after that!
Also, my old passport that I submitted at the passport office had a valid visa. So request you to please
please take necessary action so that I can get my old and new passports at the earliest.
