Issues: PAN Change Request

Dear Sir,

My name is Siraj Singh. I had applied for a change in my PAN Card on July 6 (Acknowledgement No: 060620100823586). the change that I had requested for was addition of my surname &-#039;Singh' in my name. As a proof, I had submitted the bank statement from HDFC Bank along with my application document. However, it has been 3 months since I had applied for the same but still the status of my application at the TIN portal shows 'Your application for 'New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data' is under process at Income Tax Department' . I have been been calling up the call centres since the past month. They also helped me to lodge a complaint regarding the same (Complaint No being: 149737) but still the status is unchanged.

I was wondering if there was some issue with my application which needs to be sorted out before I get the changed PAN Card. The call centres have not been able to give me any information in this regards (ticket numbers for conversation: 171090 and 178245) and it has been a rather long wait to get the PAN card for me. Considering how important a PAN card is for a salaried individual, I urge you to kindly look into this issue and help me in getting my PAN card at the earliest.
