Negligence in transferring accounts

I have deposited a sum of Rs.3 lakhs in MIS account at Sivakasi head P.O (Pin code No.626123) on 11.1.2011 vide account no.24461. Now I have changed my residence to Madurai. On 27-6, I have requested the post master, Sivakasi-626123 to transfer my above MIS account as well SB a/C no.1071830 to TVS nagar, Madurai/Palanganatham, Madurai-625003 post office. Yesterday I had been to the above post offices and asked about transfer of my accounts. To my great surprise and disappointment, I was informed by the post office staff that about one and half month time would take for transfer of accounts and asked me to come after one and half month. I could not understand the reason for undue delay in transferring a/C from one place to another place, just 70 kilo meter distance. I want to withdraw money from my above account for my family/Medical expenses. Pl do the needful for immediate transfer of my account to Madurai. Thank you
