Delay in PF Claim Settlement

Please refer to my on-line complaint posted on 11th May with regard to inordinate delay in the settlement of PF Claim of Miss Chaitali Sandeep Moghe - PF A/C No. MH / THA / 43037 / 033914.

With regret I wish to inform that the matter continues to remain in cold storage. Therefore, I personally visited the PF Office at Thane armed with an original acknowledged copy of the letter that was submitted to PF Office, Thane, on 16th June. At the PF Office, Thane, I was directed to the relevant PF Desk. After much dancing aroung various desk, I was finally guided to the table of an indifferent clerk who was not present at his desk. After waiting for more than an hour, including lunchtime, the concerned clerk finally showed up. I showed him the acknowledged copy of the letter submitted to the PF Office, Thane. To my utter shock and disbelief, I was very arrogantly informed by the indifferent concerned clerk that he has not received the letter acknowledged by the PF-Thane office on 30th November. I re-submitted my letter and sought his acknowledgement which he curtly refused. Therefore, I requested to know his name. Again, in answer I was asked to "go your work will be done in 15 days."

Sir, I have no confidence that any thing with happen in 15 days, from my experience with such important Government office and the lethargy of their employees. Out of context, I wish to add here that during my visit to the PF-Thane office I observed that 99.9% computers were not on and the staff were not on their desk. Those who were at their desk, were idling away their time and gossip-mongering in groups. This is the state of our Govt. Office. No wonder we have to run around wasting time and energy, apart from the Leave that we take, to obtain what is rightly ours, just because these govt. employees are not accountable and therefore, could'nt care less for the inconvenience caused to genuine public because of their lethargy and indifference.

Therefore, I request your intervention in the matter and ensure that the matter is not delayed any further. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Today, 26th June is exactly the 10th day from my visit to PF-Office. Can I hope that on the 15th day, as assured by the lazy indifferent, arrogant and rude PF clerk, that my work will be done and I will not have to chase around for what is rightly ours. Would it be inappropriate if I were to request / suggest that strict severe action be taken against those clerk / employees who are responsible for this delay since Miss Chaitali Moghe (PF NO. MH / THA / 43037 / 033914) has been put to much stress and inconvenience for no fault of hers, just because some lazy govt emplyees was not willing and readily to shoulder his responsibillity for which he was being paid a fat undeserved salary from public money, by doing his part of the job, instead of idling away precious time, knowing fully well that his job is secure and that he has nothing to lose and every thing (monetary and less work) to gain.
