Unable to get my application status

Dear Sir/Mam,

I am J.SRINIVAS, i had applied for passport on "12-Jan" and file number is "Z501142", till now i am unable to get status of my application, "File Reference Number (HYD-Z501142-12) is either wrong or Information NOT available" This is the message i got while looking for status from 3 months. Till now no police verification had done and i would like to know the status of my application and to get it as early as possible.
