I beg to solicit your kind notice that I am a senior citizen having worked in West Bengal Government Services
for 6 years and then with American Express Bank Ltd. (later taken away by Standard Chartered Bank) for 33 years.
I am a physically handicapped person under Section 80U of Indian Income Tax Act, recognised by Government of India
and Government of West Bengal.
As I am a physically handicapped person and having a possibility of going abroad and having proper treatment of mine
in this regard, I have applied for passport for myself, Shankar Maitra (File No. A079199 dt., 17.9.10), my wife, Sabita Maitra
(File No. A085695 dt. 7.10.10) and my minor daughter, Swagata Maitra (File NO. F019195 dt.12.10.10) through a trusted
passport agent, Mahadeb Mondal, having cleared all dues of required passport fees and his agency charges as I am not in
a position to move on regularly for queing up and submit my forms.
When police verification, I met with severe harassment by relative police officials of passport. They never came to my residence
and to their own wills, went on asking me to attend police station within a short period of notice. However, I went on with
all documents required in this regard relating to all of my family members but however, they have only issued only one IP36038
to my name.
Even all these hurdles, my file was closed without issuance and the passport relating to my wife and minor daughter was
also held up.
I appealed to [email protected] for solution 4 times on May 12, Jan.24, April 8 and on the same day,
a separate letter giving a suggestion as your site asks for but however, none of the letters were replied.
Can this be treated as a mere disregard to a physically handicapped person to deny his rights to have passport in time and
even beyond time?
