I applied for passport (File#P038420) on 08.10.10. As I have not been residing in Pune for whole one year; so, my secondary verification was required to be done in Gurgaon (my last location).
After I was done with verification at Pune, I got the online status:
As per the police report, you are staying at the current address for less than one year. Please explain reasons for providing incomplete information in your passport application. Also furnish 3 Personal Particulars Forms showing previous address (es) against column no. 9 (with duration)
At the outset, I visited passport office and submitted 3 PP forms. On 21.12.10, I received the call from Gurgaon police (civil lines) and he did the verification on 24.12.10. This verification report was submitted at DCP office (Gurgaon) thereafter and was further sent to Pune via normal post on 29.12.10.
After getting the same above online status for whole one month, we went to Passport office, Pune on 04.02.11. They said that they have not received the police verification report from Gurgaon. A despatch #27059 dated 29.12.10 was given by DCP office, Gurgaon. We talked to RAMS Post office, Pune on 04.02.11, to confirm the receipt of despatch. But, they said it would not be possible to trace out the despatch sent by normal post.
Today it has been 4 months. I am being harassed by the system. After a lot many follow ups, arranging documentation, visiting passport office, making calls to Police Personnel for the verification purpose etc., all has been ended up with the lost police verification of Gurgaon.
· Passport office says they have not received the report yet.
· DCP office, Gurgaon # 01242869300 & Gurgaon police (civil lines) # 01242224233 say that they have already sent the report and they are confirming the despatch date and number as well.
· Post office RAMS, Pune # 02026125415 says that they would not be able to trace out the normal post.
· Online status of passport still shows:

I don’t know which door I should knock. Don’t know who is responsible for this. But I am tired of trying and badly stressed because of all above. Hoping to receive your kind cooperation in this regards, please.
