I applied for renewal of passport in Chennai on 18/08. My initial passport address was in Andhra pradesh. Now i reside in Chennai. So for renewal i applied in Chennai. But Chennai office wanted some clarifications from Hyderabad Passport office.

I went to Chennai office more than 5 times to inquire about the status. Every time i went the response from Chennai office is the files are sent to Hyderabad passport office, Fax is sent, Hyderabad passport office has to move the file. I was surprised to hear this. It has taken more than 16 months still passport is not renewed.
No response from Hyderabad passport office, multiple times faxes are sent by Chennai office.
We are not sure what is happening between 2 offices. I want to go to USA urgently to meet my son. But due to this issue i couldn't travel. I also sent email to both passport offices ([email protected], [email protected]) Appreciate your help to process this as soon as possible.
