M/s HENA CONSTRUCTION Builders & Contractors, No 4/396, 3rd main road, swaminathan nagar kottivakkam Chennai-600041 owned by Mazar Ahmed seemed to be very promising on my first visit. The builder Mazar Ahmed promised me of fair price and good quality construction. I paid 28.75 lacs for 1000sq flat in the first floor (incl car parking common area), Feb. Following are the manner in which Mazar Ahmed cheated me with bad quality and services. Please beware of his soft words and god fearing actings...
1) Rain water came inside the flat (when almost 90% construction was completed). I have the videos for record. On my complain he did some patch work (thats wat he said... but i dont think he has done anythign). I am waiting for this monsoon...
2) The building is of five flats. The completed building is angled construction, ie, it is parellogram--top view and not a rectangle building. My bed room, you can see the bed is laid at an angle. the wall deviation is more than half feet. It looks very odd. When i complained, the builder Mazar Ahmed tried to convince me that nothing is wrong. But believe me, any body can see this cross-ed wall in the building. I have the photoes.
3) It is not even two months i have shifted to this new flat and all the pipe fittings have gone rusted. Washbasin pipe fittings which i bought on my own is still good. The pipe fittings builder fitted are all rusted (the pipe fittings i bought did not rust). The builder has used a very low quality pipe fittings.
4) I shifted to this new house on 24 Feb and the main doors lock has come out-broken (28May12). Yesterday my wife and my two year old baby were sitting outside the house at 10:00PM because the door did not open--the lock inside was gone out of order (i was out of station). See, how terrible things can happen when these builder like Mazar Ahmed use bad quality door and locks. I was complainign about the door and lock to the builder last month (i have audio recordings of the discussion). Even the door is not put properly on the wall... it is tilted. This builder just said he will look into that... yet to resolve the issue.
5) Electrical fitting are of bad quality. You can easily see that the elecrical board's paint is piled, rusted and is coming out.
6) There are lot of cracks on the walls... i can count atleast 20 cracks from top to bottom of the wall in my house. I complained to the builder Mazar Ahmed, Hena construction. He says it is air crack and it will come. But when i enquired with ppl, i found that the cracks on wall is because the buiding is not watered properly or not proper ratio of cement and sand used or not polished properly. The builder refused to take any responsibilty for this.
7) THe Hena consruction builder, Mazar Ahmed promised that he will provide the panchayat water (he took extra money for that... i have audio recording of the discussions). But after the completion of the building, he is running away from his promise. I am not able to reach his mobile number. Nobody picks on his landline number.
9) Lastly, I was not even informed when my last instalment was released from LIC. THis builder told LIC agent that everything is done (electrical and water connection was not given at that stage. I had told the LIC agent not to release the last payment till current connection is given). Suddenly one day LIC agent said he has released the complete amount. THe agents and builders are networked.
I need a solution to my issues. This is my first step to go to court against this builder Hena construction, Mazar Ahmed. This builder is constructing more building around perumbakkam, sithalapakam and medavakkam area. Please do not fall into his trap like me. He speaks very sweat and he is very cunning. Beware of such builders.
