Faulty elevators are a very common problem for households and many a consumers have faced harrowing time stuck in the
elevator/lift, trudging the stairs even when they have paid the full amount for a top class elevator. This is aggrevated by
malicious real estate developers (who loathe customer satisfaction) who engage an elevator company based on the lowest,
compromised prices rather than the quality of the elevator & service provided. This review is meant to educate apartment
owners and consumers to apply discretion & judgement while choosing an elevator in their apartment complex.

*****Consumer Plight
I have bought an apartment from a Kolkata based developer Rohan Abasan (owners Gopi & Supriti Saha). This firm had procured
the elevator services from M/S Kinetic Elevators who has failed to install the lift even after 1.5 years (July when it
all started - till now the lift is not ready). Even after full payment, the lift equipments was delivered after 3 months
(Sep 2010). After the delivery, the company failed to locate a contractor who could do the erection & fitment for a year
(till Sep 2011). After repeated follow ups and 3 contractor changes (one of which stole the motherboard for which we were
forced again to buy it with Rs 19, 000 in Jan), the lift is still in a very dangerous state, scraping through the
walls, making horrible noises. It malfunctions every week and stops precariously at different floors. Even a passenger got
stuck inside a month back. Repeated phone calls for rectification has got unheeded from Ocober 2011 till now. The Ahmedabad
head office points us to the local office and the local office says that head office doesnt support them for this case. The developer also is not interested to help us.

Ahmedabad Office contact for our developer was Mr. Baidya.
I would request all to spread the news about this horrible elevator company who doesnt even value human life. I have seen
from their website that they also provide service to corporate - god knows how they are coping.
