L&T South City a group housing project off Bannerghatta Road is a project where L&T failed very miserably in fulfilling their responsibilities as a multinational corp and handling over the facilities to the owners. I'm one of the unfortunate owners who invested a life's saving in this project and now only see mess all around.
L&T
> Cheated with the sale deed, the sale deed clearly says that the project is 34 acres but L&T had agreed to part with 12 acres of land and hand it over to BDA/ BBMP which none of the residents knew.
> l&T didn't fulfil their promise to construct amenities and club house as mentioned in the original sale deed.
> L&T on 9th june with hand in glove with BBMP forcibly broke the compound wall of the complex without any notice from any authorities and force open the park and road for public use. Now public can happily take this road and jump into the puttenhalli lake as that is where the public road now ends.
> In name of water harvesting L&T has dug up a number of digs and patches and have failed to cover them from last 3-4 months. They only serve as mosquito breeding group and contamination tanks.
> The affairs of the complex managed by their Estate office is in complete mess, there are huge safety hazards at the site, most of the lifts don't work all the time and there is no preparation for any emergencies (like fire etc).
Overall L&T in our housing complex has proved once again that you cannot trust even the biggest of brands in India when it comes to Real Estate. The lokayukta, general judiciary and a number of other govt organizations (including BBMP commissioner) know about all misdeeds of L&T and are preferring to keep quite in this matter. Inspite of all this the construction of the new blocks goes on in full swing all 7 days 24 hrs there is no stopping the concrete jungle that this complex has become.
