A group of people (around 150) purchased land from "Bank Sehkari samiti" at Boriya. Ranchi. Initially land costed 2, 51, 000, but after 3 years, we were told to deposit more money as price of land had increased and the society needed to buy more land. We promised to provide the society the demanded money of 1, 66, 000. But now when we are ready to provide the money, and went to the site, a goon (Abhay Singh, who is a known land Mafia) in the area claimed that land is his. We have original papers but he threatened to beat us and we had to run away. On complaining to DC we learnt that the goon has influenced all the top officials like the chief secretary etc and claimed that land was his. We had launched an FIR but no action has been taken from the local police station as all favour him. We are going to the court but keep on getting threatening calls.
As all the people who bought the land are middle class, this land is a valuable possession for us, so please take some action.
