Regarding refusing of accepting Chaque

Sir,

My builder M/S N K Sharma Enterprises (P) Ltd. Carges one time maintenence charges of Rs. 5000/= and monthly payment. I wanted to deposit chaques but it refuses to accept it and wants cash amount. And furtyher, threatining to disconnect water connection and other facilities if I do not deposit.

Kindly help me in solving the problem ceated by my builder.
