This is to bring to your notice that the society has been harassing us for last few months for some external leakage problems.

This is to bring to your notice that the above mentioned society has been harassing us for a particular leakage problem since few months. We have tried to resolve this matter amicably, but fail to do so. We spend more than 2 hours with society Secretary (Mr Subhash Bhai) and Chairman (Mr Ahuja) on 16th March 20:00 hours to 22:00 hours.

We have not been staying in that flat for last 10 years and they keep asking for more money for repairing and other problems. We have denied paying any additional expenses except for regular rent, which we have been paying on time. All these are society related expenses and should be borne by them. In spite of this, we had agreed to take care of primary leakage issues from our WC by doing the white cement work last week through the society appointed contractor and plumber, which was discussed and decided on 16th March meeting. In spite of this they have send a letter to our flat and send a copy to Park site Police station and BMC. Over and Above they want us to change the WC completely, when there is no guarantee that that is damaged. The cost of complete replacement is over 10, 000 INR. Society is not ready to bear this cost and they do not want us to do just the white cement work and fill the cracks.
We would now like to take police protection against this harassment and ensure they stop doing this as of immediate else would be liable for legal action. My mother is over 65 years; she is sick and has been suffering from Arthritis for over 15 years. She is unable to move and always has to be at home. Such letters are very disturbing and she is extremely tensed. In such cases, if there is any problem to her health because of this, we would hold society responsible for this offence.
Our earnest request is not to harass my mom or any of our family members, as this creates a disturbing environment and not conducive to leave in peace.
We have been staying quietly without any issues and they keep asking for more money, repairing without our fault. All these expenses are beyond our capacity. Those should be done from the society sinking fund.
My brother and his daughter occupy this flat only for night stay and there is no one in this flat through the day. For any matter, we have repeatedly requested them to contact us, if any problem needs attention. They have forcefully tried entering the flat, which my brother has denied multiple times, as this is not the right approach. They need to speak to the owner and then take access of the flat as and when required in our presence. They have also used abusive language against my brother and child, which is mentally very disturbing and threatening. As per them if we do not allow them to enter the flat, they can legally and forcefully vacate the flat and take the possession of this flat.
Apart from this they have been asking for additional funds to an amount of 8, 000 INR and 24, 000 INR for repairing funds. They have damaged my chapra, wodden support during the repairing. We have been asking them to complete this repair and post that we would pay the repairing fund only in installments as per our convinience.
Apart from this the chapra has been damaged since 6 years. Our electricity wiring, Bed, Balcony and Kitchen has been completely damaged since over 5 years. The estimated cost of this damange is more then 5 Lakh INR. Due to this negligence, we would like society to pay back this damage expenses as well.
We request you to take this to cognizance and serve a notice to society and their committee members.
