Late gas connection and negligence of service

Hello Sir/Madam,

I have visited CHELLA GAS agency in Selaiyur near Tambaram and requested for new connection on 03/December. On the same day the request was registered and i got the registration number 111175490004851. The staff told me that the stock was not available, so i need to wait for 6 months to avail the gas connection. So i have visited the agency on Feb

to know the status but the agency has not responded properly.

I waited for more than half an hour but nobody was there to listen

by queries, i was disappointed totally and returned back without any answers.

On the same month I have visited the agency once again and have requested about my status. They responded in a non-professional way and have replied me harshly that there was a letter dispatched to my

Residential address so I need to get the letter first then only they can say something about my status. I took the letter and gone back to the agency and asked the status. They told me that I need to get the supporting documents.

On April month I have re-visited the agency and submitted the document in queue. Myself and other customers waited in queue for more than half a day, and there was absolute chaos in customer queue whether the new connection request need to be given in the queue or the queue is for GAS refill request. But the staffs seem to be not caring to these issues and they were continuously replied harshly to customers. After a long standing in the queue my documents were verified and requested to give a written letter about the document formality completion.

After i gave the letter, the staff told me that the stove verification will be done in another few days. But i waited for more than 2 months but nobody turned up, so i visited the agency on Morning of 1st of June to know the status. Again i waited for more than 30 minutes but the staff said the system was not working so they can’t check the status. So i left the place and came back by evening. While entering the agency office the staffs were laughing and commented about my status. I entered the agencies’s owner’s cabin but she was not willing to see me and was concentrating in discussing about booking journey tickets. After 10 minutes i have requested about my status, she harshly replied in loud and orderly voice that “I only visited your home and i only called you but you didn’t picked the call, the address provided by you is wrong”. I replied that the address provided me is correct because i am getting all the letters to the same address. I have asked what is the next step and i didn’t getting proper response, she simply said that my request is expired because it was registered 4 months before. I got shocked and said i have visited the agency 2 months ago and my documents were verified on that day but nobody said anything. Now you are saying that my request is expired, i have to do the all things from scratch this is very unfortunate and left the place.

The way the agency is working is very pathetic and the way the customers are treated is very bad and many of the customers were affected due to the bad service and lethargic way of work which is being carried out in this agency.

On behalf of all the customers i am raising this complaint, kindly do the needful in taking some serious action against this agency.
