A fortnight has passes since this incident occurred at DAILY BAZAR, Rehabari- a big departmental store in Guwahati city. Me and my wife went to shop some urgent food stuff to this store around 9 pm. As we reached the store, a guy followed us from the main gate of the store and was absolutely in an inebriated state, as was obvious from his movements. As we went through the shopping, he was indecently following my wife. After i objected, he said he is an employee of this store and was trying to help her. But i could see his wrong intentions through his body language and i also overheard him talking to another colleague of his (who also was under the influence of alcohol) that he is following this attractive lady. I reported the matter to the manager but he didnt give any consideration to the issue and blatantly refused to say anything to his drunk employee. I could have fought with that guy but since i am a law abiding citizen of this country and a doctor, I avoided violence and am contemplating legal action so that this kind of incidences never occur--at least where it occurred--DAILY BAZAR. As it was getting late, me and my wife came back but with a very bad experience. I have following questions- Why do employers keep people like this manger and unruly employee? Why there is no system in place to control indecent behaviour? How these eve teasers garner strength to behave indecently? Probably there is no fear of law and people never give them a fight back lawfully - thats the reason these incidents are occuring daily. Please avoid this store when you are with family and dont keep quite if such incidences occur- Fight but lawfully!
