Police Verification of Passport Application Pending

HI,

I have applied for fresh passport (File Number A038465) in Bareilly Passport office in Nov. Since then i am awaiting for police verification to happnen. While contacting Pasport office they say that thery are waiting for SPR (Police Verification Report) and at local police offcical says that theyhave not received the report from Passporrt office.

I am helpless in this case. KIndly guide me whre to approach to get my passport.
