I have taken a prepaid mobile connection (no. 9740985079) 5 months back. My incoming was barred on 10/may for which a complaint was logged (ref no. 0510314664). It was understood from customer service desk that there is a mismatch in documentation (after 5 months!!!) and "backend" is working on the same. Follow up calls were made 3 times and the last update from a gentle man named Zameer (addressed as team lead/manager) was that the outgoing will be restored by 17/May. To my surprise, on Saturday (15/may) the outgoing was also barred.
When contacted on Monday (17? may), another gentle man named Najeeb told that the number is "recycled" becuase address could not be verified.
This is not justifiable and un reasonable because of following reason.
1. I am staying in this address for the last 5 yrs and I hold a valid driving license and voters id in the same address. More over, I also hold a post paid mobile connection from other service provider in the same address.
2. It is not acceptable to deactivate a number without informing the customer about the fact and giving him a chance to respond.
I would like Airtel officials to look into this matter and restore my connection with immediate effect.
