Bharti Land Line
Harassment thro fraud case

When people used to say that Airtel is becoming a monster, I used to disbelieve since I was using 4 connections. However, in past 3 months or so, I have seen the other face of Bharti. Case is described below:

• User of Airtel number 0129-4070539.

• Was using the phone along with DSL.

• On Jan 25th, via tele request number 36956, it was requested to switch the DSL off and give me the lowest plan since that phone was not in much use.

• Two subsequent bills of Feb and March were were of low value and hence I thought that the request has been complied with.

• In April and May suddenly huge bills came again with charges for DSL. I was told that DSL was restored (without any request from me!)

• Despite my requests to them to find a proper solution, no effort was made except the effort to recover the wrongfully done charges.

• I asked in written for cancellation of phone and reissue of bills with correct and just charges. (Sometime in June 2nd week)

• Phone was disconnected but no effort was made from Airtel to reissue the bill with correct charges.

• Collection centers keep calling without working on the basics and without knowing the details of the case thus harassing a consumer. If there is any recording of the calls made by the collection centers, it would be found to be correct that I have always asked for the bill.

• Airtel should have sent a consolidated bill along with adjustment of any advances if they had taken.

• I am a user of 3 other Airtel numbers which I am using since last 10 years or so with a monthly billing of around 5000/- plus with no history of non payment!

• Airtel has however decided to put a case of fraud against me without even checking as to what other services am I taking!

• I have decided to fight it and let everyone in my circle know about it.

Need suggestions and help.
