My balance was reduced by Rs.30 on 8 Aug for Chat service (not Requested) got message at midnight about the same. Next day I made complaint to customer care they said they’ll get back, after disconnecting the call when the balance was updated I came to know that Rs. 60 was deducted again. That day I could not contact customer care as they said complaint is active. So I called up next day 10 Aug they said the same chat service was activated twice on 9 Aug at the time when I was taking to customer care. After much argument and taking to senior customer care I got the refund of Rs.90.
Now I have few points
when I have nor anyone from my phone activated the service how can they deduct my balance.
I think any service should be activated by calling the customer or through SMS getting it confirmed.
Even if I wanted chat service why isn’t there system tell us that the service is already active. And not deduct 3 times for it (again I have not requested for it)
I think this is what happing to most of the mobile user. And most of them don’t know what to do. They keep paying for service they do not want.
I request the TRAI to make it mandatory for all operator to get any service activated through SMS and some information like last recharge amount or date of birth of custome
