Charge Back!

On 5th May I recharged my hutch mobile no. 91-98339 64161 through sms from my HDFC Savings Bank Account for Rs 450. Since the transaction had failed, I tried second time which was then successful.

After a month when I checked my bank statement I found that there were two debits of same amount.

Since the first amount was not recharged I contacted HDFC Bank. The bank told that since they had paid the amount to the merchant, they cannot do anything. Since then I have emailed to both Hutch and bank several times.

The Hutch seems to be still investigating and refuses to charge back into my account.

Since then I have already closed my old savings account in the HDFC, Vasai - West Branch and have opened a new savings account in the same branch.
