I have been a cursed subscriber of Airtel Broadband for the last 1 year. I took this connection in my mother's name Vaasanthi Devi in the year 2010 and the services have been working intermittently. The only thing consistent about this is their billing system. No matter whatever happens, they bill you... irrespective of their landline or broadband works. I work or browse when the line is up and idle most of the times. I have taken a Reliance broadband wireless backup connection and that works seamlessly.
The excuses given by the Airtel chaps are weird and blame on the local municipality who dig up the roads. I am not sure why they provide a service if they cant guarantee or have a solid restoration plan is in place. Worst is if I request for a discount on the bill for services not working for nearly a month, I dont get any call backs.
Their customer service number is not reachable from any other line except from the landline where the fault is and thats down. I am having issues reaching them to have my connection surrendered.
