I had raised a complaint today morning that there was a blip on the set box box and the TV was flickering due to this and service request number is 4879587
First of all I had to make 2 three calls to get to them @ 12150 . The the customer service executive tried helping me out to no avail. Seemed as if they were reading through teh FAQS rather than listenfing to my concern
However she informed that they will send an engineer and that it is a paid service and that they will charge rs 100 to which I said no
After 4 hours, an engineer came to my home (Don't know his name) and by mere looking at teh set top box said that this needs to be replaced and the charge will be rs 500 extra apart from rs 100 of visit charges
He said the teh box was installed on 7th Dec and hence it is out of warranty by some 17 days and he cannto do anything
I called customer service again. To my utter dismay first executive names Anand listerned to it. May be he did nto comprehend english and hence he hung up on me
Second time a decent lady took the call and kept on repeating that you can send an email to [email protected] and that they cant do anything I asked her that why should I pay a second time if I have already paid 2500 for my set top box and since we use it through remote this is their fault . that ways we will only be paying rs 500 each year.
On asking that if I may be allowed to speak to some supervisor rather than sending an email so that I can get a resolution I was told that they will also give the same information
ALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE OF AIRTEL DIGITAL TV . I AM GOING TO CHANGE MY TV SERVICE TO TATA FOR SURE . NOW WITH THIS AT LEAST MY HOUSEHOLD WILL TREAD TO THINK ON AIRTEL
