International Call charge dispute

Hi,

I hav been charged, on my last bill, Rs. 1176/- for International calls to Africa, which I never made. When I called Airtel Customer Service, I was told that they cannot check if the call charges are incorrect and cannot raise a complaint as these charges were correct.

When I tried to complain on 198 (Airtel complaint toll free number) they said that they would not raise any complaint for me.

Also, I asked them to Bar all international calls from my mobile but it was not done and I had to call again after 2 hours to get it done. Even after barring ISD calls, I am able to make international calls and Airtel is telling me that they have already barred the international calls from their end.

Now, my unbilled usage is also increasing on a daily basis, even though, I am hardly making any calls from my mobile, let alone international calls.

Today, they have registered a complaint at the Airtel Relationship Centre (Comp Nos# 31758529, 31758624, 31761598). I am still awaiting a resolution. I would be oblidged if someone can help me out in this situation as this is a first for me amd I am now being harrased by one of the biggest telecom providers in India.
