No matter what option I select from Airtel's IVR, I always get a pre-recorded voice message to dial *121# for Balance related queries. I even get an SMS with the same message afterwards.
If I have a problem with GPRS, I would get the same message to dial *121#.
I got to know from Airtel's relationship center that this is a new method to get rid of prepaid customers.
This is my message to fellow pre-paid customers to be wary and never call IVR for trivial issues, as they'll block you from contacting their customer care reps in the future.
I was able to speak to reps only twice and they blocked me forever, afterwards. I tried all possible ways to contact Airtel to report this issue - 121, 198, 51111 and 12118.
I am not complaining against Airtel as I don't expect anything from an Indian lala type company.
